Half way through April’s ride, most of us were frozen and welcomed a meal at the Oaks. So, June was supposed to be our shot at circumnavigating Pineview on our bikes. However, upon arriving at the Canyon we discovered that our plans were thwarted by a short “paving project.” Strange since they repaved the entire canyon last year. Regardless, our plans had to change and we ended up taking a route along the bench and then up to a great lookout over the valley on the road to North Ogden Divide. 

We welcomed three new members and our two new Vespa’s to our mix. It was a lot of fun getting out on a beautiful day and taking a run along the bench. I still viewed the ride as a success as we enjoyed each other’s company with a breakfast at Karen’s cafe.

Next month we plan to have two rides with a Saturday run in Ogden and a Davis county ride on Sunday giving us all a chance to make the most of the great weather in July.
