I don’t know exactly what’s doing on here… but there are some clues. Firstly the location is  clearly San Fransisco… and specifically the Golden Gate Bridge. I wonder if any of my US readers remember the Berkley Scooter Shop? On the front of one the TV’s there’s a badge for “Al (Second name unreadable)* San Francisco” is also the pic of Warren Carver… who, his badge is “Road Captain” of the Pioneer Scooter Club, SF. Though I reckon he really wanted to be in the California Highway Patrol…       The event looks like some sort of protest… I’m guessing from the pic of the dude on the Vespa, and the signage, it’s something to do with banning motorcycles from certain roads. There’s a couple of pics of people looking at maps trying to figure out alternative routes.

Insanity 27 scooterists gathered at Café Racer Friday evening (Orin O’Neill photos)

Fourth of July fell on Friday in 2014, which for our purposes meant Day Two out of four days of Scooter Insanity. This 27th version included an evening gathering at Café Racer, centered around the raffle of a 2014 Stella Automatic. Which I didn’t win. 😦

So, with EuroLambretta 2014 in Davos done and dusted, and by all reports, (more to come on this!) a good time had by all, I thought it would be a good chance to repost the EuroLambretta 2015 official video I posted back in April. Here’s the version with English Subtitles.

It seems not a day goes by without more bad news regarding the General Motors ignition recall. Such things are not limited to cars and trucks, as you probably alreday know if you own a Genuine Stella 125 Automatic.

If you don’t know, here’s what’s up: As reported first by Scooterfile, Genuine Scooter Company is recalling all 2014 Stella Automatics to replace a potentially defective ECU. As this is a potential safety issue, this recall has been reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which will assign a recall number and make details available on its Web site.

There’s a lot for me to like it this collection of pics from the Glasgow Mod Weekender rideout… 1.Glasgiow is the city of my birth, and the home of my fitba team (the Mighty Jags!), ics if the the scoots, obviously, and one of my favourite, Dexy’s tracks as a sound track. What’s not to like!

If you’re looking for another rally to attend before this years Curd Rally, you should check out the Halifax Scooter Council’s site. Their Rally in the Valley is the weekend before Curd. Go there, then do a big group ride to Ottawa for Curd on August 15. 🙂

2015 Vespa Sprint is one pretty bike… especially in blue (Orin O’Neill photos)

Another week, another highly-anticipated new scooter to ride. I could get used to this! 🙂

Love the original factory paint with period stickers on this ’59 Framebreather.
It comes with a TS1 225 engine, and some minor jobs to get it finished, but to my eye it’s a cracking looking scoot.
The original engine comes as part of the deal, so if you want to take it back to standard, you can.
