Here is an article that not only delves into the history of scooters, it approaches it from a fun perspective.

Two New Rides for June
With the bonny weather and great riding conditions, we have scheduled two rides this month!
June 21st, 2015 at 1:00 PM
The first will be our traditional Sunday ride but we will be starting later with a ride up to Huntsville for a visit to the Shooting Star Saloon for the best burger in the state! The oldest operating bar in Utah, the “Shooting Star” reeks of character and fun. We will meet at our normal spot and then ride to the “Star” for a burger, some pool and fun!

June 27th, 2015 at 11:00 AM
Our second ride will be a Saturday trip up north to the fruit roads and to the lovely town of Brigham City. We will take a spin down Main Street and stop at the famous “Peach City” for lunch. The ride to Brigham is a good cruiser along the old Highway and on the way back, some might want to stop at Smith and Edwards to pick up a cool scooter jacket! We look forward to seeing you all!
Dang that rain!
Yes, it happened again. Our April ride got pushed out a week and now our May ride is being pushed as well. However, the good news is that it will still be in May. The ride is next Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Union Station. Forecasts for the 30th are for sunshine and warmer temperatures. Hope to see you there!
High Desert Gathering

Here is an upcoming rally that will be held in Grand Junction. Last year, Mark from the club went and said it was terrific. I encourage everyone to attend as rally’s are a lot of fun and a great excuse to get your scooter out of town. As it approaches, we can work together to coordinate bike transport.
RIDE POSTPONED ONE WEEK
This morning is looking pretty wet and the forecast for the remainder of the day is wind and rain. While I certainly don’t mind a splash or two, in the interest of safety, comfort and attendance, we will simply postpone the ride one week.
Sunday May 3rd at 11:00 AM we will meet at Cherry Hill for our ride. There will also still be a ride or two in May.
Thank you riders!
Two Bit Area 51.5 March Ride
To the furthest extreme west of Ogden, a road dead ends into a military installation. These are ominous gates out in the desert to the north of the Great Salt Lake. What is going on out there? Is it another home to alien life? A government conspiracy? Two Bit Scooter Club used our March ride and our first ride of 2015 to investigate. Check out the video to see what happened.
Ride this coming Sunday!
The weather is wonderful for riding and this Sunday marks our first ride of the year. We welcome all returning club members and of course, any new members wanting to join us. The meetup takes place Sunday March 29th at 10:00 a.m. at Ogden’s Union Station (under the water tower). We will discuss ride ideas, share thoughts on our time since November and have a lot of fun. All riders are welcome.
Riding High in Las Vegas
I made a short video of some of the rally rides. Those plus the photos will give you a sense that you really need to plan for next year.

High Rollers Rocks!
This weekend has been amazing with great rides, tons of vintage scoots and a lot of fun parties.
We have been really enjoying the friendly crowd and the opportunity to share rides with a lot of cool scooter people.

We have been passing around a lot of two bit stickers and the response has been awesome. We have also been networking with a lot of other scooter clubs and it sounds like we will see a rally or two in the Salt Lake valley. Wish everyone could come so plan on it next year. It really is worth the trip.
Wow…a scooter can really go!
Winter…not so wintery
So…temperatures are getting up into the 60s in the next few days and yes, that means you can ride. I took the ol’ Vespa out for a spin on Sunday morning and installed a kickstand. This week I will be putting the new front crash bars on the bike. If the weather continues to warm, I may organize a ride. Drop me an email if you are interested.
Mark’s Bike has Passed
Today I was informed of the sad passing of Mark’s Chinese wonderbike. Sadly, Mark was rear-ended a couple weeks ago and the bike was totaled. On the good side, Mark is okay, had no serious injuries and is making a speedy recovery. He is waiting for the insurance payout before he buys a new bike.
However, it is with sadness that we mark the passing of Mark’s bike. This amazing piece of hardware held over 30,000 miles on it and had been pieced together over and over again by Mark’s ingenuity, creativity and technical prowess. We wish Mark our best in finding a good replacement so he can ride again with us this coming Spring!
High Rollers Weekend
Hello Two Bit Riders,
February 26 – March 2
Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Great video about the passion of one man and the Vespa!
Our October ride was a Scream!
The weather was gloomy and gray. The wind tossed leaves in the air with a cool briskness. It was a perfect day for a Halloween ride. We had our largest turnout yet with 12 participants and 10 scooters. Our focus was on the creepy with a tour taking us past Ogden cemetery, Union Station, the old Stock yards and of course, 25th street. All locations are reputed to be haunted. We stopped for lunch at the aptly name Two Bit Street Cafe.
Thanks to all who made this a great ride. We appreciate your attendance.
October Haunted Ride
Well, Sunday’s re-run was an outstanding success. We had seven riders and the weather was absolutely amazing. Vast blue skies and epic clouds made it a great day out. The ride to Antelope with it’s twisted open road and the Wasatch Front in the distance made it one of the best club rides yet. Welcome to Dean and Rich who joined us for the first time! It was great to have more riders and it was a BLAST!

As Halloween is here, we obviously have to do a ride themed for the holiday. October’s ride will be held on Sunday October 26th, 2014 in Ogden with meeting at Historic 25th Street underneath the water tower at the Union Station. The ride will take us to some of the spookier places in Ogden. Let’s just say, we are going to make it fun, if not a little twisted! Looking forward to seeing you all!
